Over the past couple of years I’ve been working on a project with film maker Louise Abbott for the Cree Outfitting and Tourism Organisation (COTA). They needed a video showcasing the opportunities that exist now and in future for Cree youth to work in tourism.

Multiple shoots in winter and summer in the Quebec’s north, in Cree communities such as Chisasibi, Mistissini, East Main, Oujé-Bougamou and in Montreal, Ontario, etc. in challenging conditions. It was a real adventure. I was the main cameraman and worked on the final edit as well.

We met so many friendly and welcoming people.

I had the pleasure of editing a new video for Upland Software. It was a quick but interesting project because I don’t usually work with stock footage.

I had the pleasure of shooting a video at Disher Corp. in Zeeland, MI. Montreal firm Nubik was kind enough to hire me for the job. Everyone at Disher was helpful and generous with their time:

I had to go to Chibougamau, Quebec for an ongoing project for the Cree. I brought my drone along for fun and got a chance to fly around a bit. Here’s a quick photo:

I bought a 3DR Solo drone to use with my GoPro Hero 4 Black. I’m using it for fun at the moment, learning how to fly and making a few videos. I plan to do Ground School and eventually start using it for paid work if the changing regulations in Canada ever become conducive to getting into the field. At the moment, it’s difficult, but at least I can enjoy it as a hobby for a while. Here’s a video I did while up north for a recent trip to Oujé-Bougoumou and Eastmain:

I just completed a few videos for Nubik, a Salesforce and FinancialForce implementation company based in Montreal. They wanted to have some customer stories to support their marketing.

I made another video for CMLabs in Montreal. I’ve been shooting in 4K for a while now on a Panasonic GH4 but usually to take advantage of being able to zoom into the frame during editing 1080p videos. This is the first video that I kept and delivered in 4K. Check it out:
