Well, I survived. I’ll slowly post several selections from my recital at the Segal Centre in Montreal as I find time to edit. I decided last minute to bring my camera along and set it up in a locked-down shot. In the edit, putting the 1080p footage in a 720p time line in Final Cut Pro allowed me to reframe, zoom, and otherwise pretend there was a camera operator involved.

I do have to thank my stepson Jeffrey, who agreed to babysit the camera and make sure no one killed themselves tripping over it or something. He couldn’t stand the pressure of a locked down camera, however, and slipped in a few little pans and zooms, hehe…

Anyway, here’s one for you:

I’m rehearsing for an upcoming recital that will take place on December 10, 2011 in the Studio at the Segal Centre in Montreal. The pianist/actor Chris Barillaro that appeared with me at the Centaur production of “Schwartz’s: the Musical” has agreed to accompany me. We decided to work on a program of early 20th Century parlour songs, with a segue into more modern musical theatre. Should be an interesting mix and I can’t wait.

This spring I spent 6 weeks onstage at the Centaur Theatre in Montreal in the hit show “Schwartz’s: the Musical.” For the first time in the theatre’s history, they are remounting a show for a summer run. So we’re back until August 7. Check it out:
