I just finished a video shoot for Sojag, a company here in Montreal (Brossard) that produces and sells outdoor furniture and sun shelters. Here’s a photo I took at the shoot.

FMC Technologies ROV Pilot Training Simulator
Here’s a video I edited for CMLabs Montreal. Their Vortex simulator engine is used to power the simulator pictured in the video. All footage was supplied by CMLabs and Schilling.
Once Upon A Time
Another from my long collaboration with filmmaker and writer Louise Abbott; here’s a short documentary about a series of writing workshops initiated by the Blue Met Foundation:
A New Life for an Old Bridge
My association with the Eastern Townships filmmaker Louise Abbott continues. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her recently on a documentary of Quebec’s covered bridges. This segment is a subset of the project produced for Hamlet Heavy Timberwork, and deals with the restoration of the Eustace covered bridge near Waterville, Quebec:
Excerpt from Historic Georgeville: Walks and Talks with John Boynton
Another sample from my collaboration with Louise Abbott of Rural Route Communications. I shot all of the interview footage in this excerpt, and some of the other material. Did the online edit for the doc as well.
Elin Gustafson: A Multi-Disciplinary Artist
My ongoing collaboration with Louise Abbott of Rural Route Communications continues. For this video, I did the online edit.
Frontier Animal Society
I recently shot a demo video for the Frontier Animal Society, produced by Louise Abbott of Rural Route Communications. We’ve worked together on several documentaries and other videos, and it’s always been a pleasure. Edited this one together with her as well. Check it out:
Block and Tackle Traditional Timber Frame Raising
One of my clients is a filmmaker in the Eastern Townships named Louise Abbott. She’s an active documentary producer, and completed this video recently:
I helped shoot it, and pretty much everything from 0:56-3:12 is mine. Helped with the online edit as well. Lots of fun.
Exercise Video for seniors
I was hired last fall to shoot an exercise video for seniors. Small budget, so I ended up doing the entire thing myself: direction, camera, sound, editing. Fortunately it turned out well. When I get a chance, I’ll post a sample, but for now, here is some feedback sent to the trainer:
“Ton DVD est tout simplement MAGNIFIQUE. C’est relaxant et très agréable à regarder… C’est vraiment plaisant de faire ces exercices en ta compagnie, celle de ton élève, des arbres et de leurs belles couleurs automnales, du ciel bleu, de l’eau, du petit canard et jusqu’à l’écureuil. La ou les personnes qui ont filmé sont vraiment professionnelles. Tout est bien cadré, fait artistiquement et avec minutie. “
(Your DVD is simply magnificent. It’s relaxing and very pleasant to watch…It’s truly a pleasure to do these exercises in your company, and that of your student, with the trees and their beautiful autumn colours, the blue sky, the water, the small duck and even the squirrel. The person (or people) who filmed it are truly professional. All is well framed, artistically done and meticulous.)
Well, that made my day!
Stefania and Andrew
I spent the day with Stefania and Andrew in July, shooting their wedding. Everything was great, and I couldn’t have been happier with the footage, and the resulting video. Check out their highlights here:
It’s in H.264 format as usual, so install the latest Quicktime if you have trouble viewing.
Enjoy!
